You’re a Narcissist?
I occassionally browse blogs from time to time. These blogs vary from topics about animals, to blogs just referencing everyday life. I enjoy reading other people’s opinions about things, as well as their approach to life’s many “f’ you” moments.
However, there was one post that I came across that referenced what a “narcissist” was, and for some reason that resonated deeply within me. This is not because I uphold any of the characteristics described in this blog, but because I knew someone who did. One of my exes who was, based on the description, a narcissist.
To an extent, I am sure everyone is a bit of a narcissist but this guy, I feel exemplified everything described in that post. He was not a horrible person, but when it came to anything in regards to how I felt or what I wanted, I was immediately patronized for it, and called names. Everything had to be what he wanted, when he wanted, and how he wanted it. He would stop at absolutely no ends to get this. He would find different ways to get you into finally doing as he asked, and had quite a convincing way of doing so.
My ex was not an asshole (or at least the one I am referring to of which was a while back), but he was damn-good at manipulating, and finding a way to get everything HE wants, when HE wants. His heart was big, and his intentions were good, but let’s be real; he wanted, what he wanted. I feel that there are plenty of boys like that, because I’ve ran into a few of them in the past. They want someone who will benefit them, and feel less than a man when they do not have that.
